LOVES PARK-There were 2,816 fans at the Aviators game Saturday evening against the Normal Cornbelters. One of them was former White Sox shortstop and manager Ozzie Guillen. He was in the house because one of his sons Ozney plays for Normal.
In this game Ozney Guillen went one for three with a walk.
The game was a pitchers duel for the most part. It was scoreless through six innings. But in the seventh the Cornbelters got to Aviators ace Ryan Ziimmerman for two runs. They added three more in the eighth inning, and they went on to beat the Aviators 5-1. The Aviators managed only six hits in the game. They committed one error. That was a vast improvement from the night before when they committed six errors, and they lost 20-7.
The Aviators and Cornbelters will close out their series at 5:05 Sunday at Aviators Stadium.
