Dofflemyer In Quarterfinals

BLOOMINGTON-Belvidere golfer Hui Chong Dofflemyer has reached the Quarterfinals of the Illinois Women's State Amateur. She won both of her matches in the Championship Flight Wednesday at the Crestwicke Country Club.

She defeated Char McLear of MceHenry 6 and 5 in the round of 32. Then she defeated Taylor Thompson of Galesburg in a 19 hole match.

Dofflemyer will face Mo Sheehan of Grayslake Thursday in the semifinals.

Rockford's other golfers in the Championship Flight didn't fair so well.  Melissa VanSistine lost to Abigail Luchtenburg of Geneva 5 and 4. And Cynthia Bounleutay lost to Taylor Ellett of Hampshire 1 up.

In the Third Flight Allison Graceffa lost to Angie Kim of Schaumburg 3 and 2. The lone Stateline winner was Madasyn Pettersen of Rockford. She won her Third Flight match over Morgan Savage of Rochester 3 and 2.
