Rockford- USA Hockey made an exciting announcement today involving IceHogs Assistant Coach Mark Osiecki. Osiecki will serve as Head Coach of the 2015 U.S. National Junior Hockey Team. As a three-time Assistant Coach for the U.S. National Junior Team, Osiecki helped Team USA capture Gold Medals in 2010 and 2013, as well as a bronze medal in 2011. The U.S. is seeking its fourth medal in six years.

This is Osiecki’s first season as the IceHogs Assistant but the role of Head Coach is nothing new to him. Osiecki was the Head Coach at Ohio State University before coming to Rockford. The 2015 World Junior Championships will take place December 26, 2014 through January 5, 2015.

The IceHogs’ next game is Friday, April 11, 2014 when they host the Milwaukee Admirals. The game starts at 7pm.
