The Lady Cougars will play for their second straight Class 1A title in Normal. The ladies will take the court Friday morning in semifinal action. They says there was some pressure to get back to State. But they've got that monkey off their backs, and having experienced the State atmosphere last year should only relax them all the more.
"All the way up to State we felt the pressure to try and get back there," says Keith senior setter Marissa Morgan. "Now that we're there we're just more 'we got this'. We just need to know what we're doing and stay calm throughout the whole process."
"It'll help us out tremendously knowing what the arena is like, and having our fans there," says senior Adeja Lambert. "It'll all be the same so at least we know having been there what we're going to expect."
"Looking at them now, before when they were so nervous and there was so much excitement, they're a lot more calm," says coach Lynn Cesario. "I hope that helps when they actually get there and they see the court and stuff again that it's more of a familiar thing than nerves."
