ROCKFORD - Boxers young and old from throughout the Midwest will be going toe-to-toe, blow-to-blow in Rockford Saturday.
The Patriots' Boxing Club will host an amateur event at Flinn Middle School. It'll run from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Rockford's National Champion Angel Martinez will be one of the young fighters going at it.
This event will give every competitor a chance to tune up for some major events coming up this summer around the nation.
"A lot of kids and men all ages and sizes can come and showcase their talent and work in front of a nice, big crowd and get judged. Then they're ready to go," says Patriots' boxing coach Jimmy Goodman.
