The Green Bay Packers won the third and most important meeting against the Minnesota Vikings, using defensive adjustments and a steady dose of Aaron Rodgers to advance past the wild card round.
Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder was named inactive before the game due to an elbow injury he suffered against the Packers a week earlier. Joe Webb started in his place, and was mostly ineffective, throwing for only 180 yards and completing only 11 of 30 passes. That wasn't enough to outduel Rodgers, who completed 23 of 33 passes for 274 yards and a touchdown.
The Packers held running back Adrian Peterson in check for the first time this season, limiting him to only 99 yards rushing on 22 carries. Green Bay had Clay Matthews and Charles Woodson in their lineup for the first time in months.
Green Bay will play the San Francisco 49ers in the second round, They lose to the Niners 30-22 in the first game of the regular season.
