All the eyes were on other young golfers or experienced older veterans who had been there before. But Patipan Pipatpinyopong quietly had the tournament's strongest round on Sunday, shooting a 66 and winning the Aldeen Cup by a convincing three strokes.
The tournament's leaders all struggled during the final round. Kevin Flack had a rare poor round, shooting a 76 and falling from first place to finish in third. Eric Burch and Robert Dofflemeyer also were outplayed by Pipatpinyopong, finishing in fifth and fourth respectively.
