Hoylake, England- Rory McIlroy had a six-shot lead heading into the final round of the British Open Sunday. He delivered two key birdies at the right moment to finish 1-under 71. McIlroy won by two shots over Sergio Garcia and Rickie Fowler. McIlroy's wire to wire victory moves him up to number two in the world. McIlroy is the first start-to-finish winner since Tiger Woods at St. Andrews in 2005. Woods tied for 69th place, his worst finish ever at a major.
