It looked like it would be a blowout on paper, and the Chicago Rush insured that it was.
The first place Rush versus the last place Cleveland Gladiators didn't have much intrigue as a heavyweight fight, but the Rush needed to win if it wanted to maintain its first place status.
The Rush dominated in unconventional ways. They ran the ball far more than usual behind quarterback Luke Drone and running back JJ Payne. One of their touchdowns was a screen pass that saw wide receiver Reggie Grey reverse field and then fight through traffic. Lineman Colin Madison even got in on the act, catching a screen pass as an eligible receiver and breaking the goal line.
