Smaha, Gooden Make College Picks 1/29/12

Belvidere, Illinois-Two of the NIC-10's premier runningbacks have made their college choices.

Belvidere North's Austin Smaha has decided to become an NIU Huskie.  He'll sign a national letter of intent with NIU on Wednesday.

Smaha is the second leading rusher in NIC-10 history with more than 3,500 yards.  He averaged 186 yards rushing per game which is the best in conference history.

Belvidere's Marcus Gooden will sign with Minnesota State University on Wednesday.  Gooden rushed for over 2,100 yards during his high school career.  He averaged 7.3 yards per carry and he scored 35 touchdowns.
