Sterling Newman finished off a dominant season, running all over Staunton en route to a 40-13 championship win.
The Comets took a commanding lead in the first half and never looked back. They led 34-13 at the half, and could've won by an even larger margin, had they not turned to a more conservative offense. They finished with 425 rushing yards on 55 attempts (7.7 yards per carry).
Jake Snow led the way for Sterling Newman, and was absolutely dominant. Snow had 172 rushing yards on only 17 attempts and two scores. Snow singlehandedly outrushed Staunton by himself (172 to 71). Dillan Heffelfinger was strong as well after a big game in the semi-finals, finishing with 155 yards on 19 attempts and two scores himself.
