Stockton Loses to Maroa-Forsythe 11/23/12

Champaign, Illinois-For the first time this season Stockton ran into a team as dominant as it has been. The Trojans of Maroa-Forsyth defeated the Blackahawks 48-24 for the 1A State Championship.

Stockton made an amazing comeback after trailing 20-0 at halftime. The Blackhawks scored 24 unanswered points in the third quarter thanks to three touchdown runs by T.J. Knutson. The last score gave Stockton a 24-20 lead.

But in the fourth quarter Maroa-Forsyth answered with 28 straight points to blow the game open. Trojans sophomore quarterback Jack Hockaday was the star of the game. He rushed for four touchdowns, and he passed for another.

Stockton finishes the season with a 13-1 record.
