Rockford- It was fan appreciation night at the BMO. Fans received a prize at every whistle throughout the game to thank them for a franchise record attendance.

In the first period, Brian Connelly ripped a shot from the blue line. It ricocheted off a Checker and in to give the Hogs a 2-1 lead.

In the second period, Alex Broadhurst had a breakaway on a power play, missed the shot but then found Teuvo Teravainen for the goal. This goal was Teravainen’s second goal as an IceHog.

Moments later the Hogs were on another power play. Ryan Hartman had the easy shot from the slot for his second goal of the night. IceHogs led 4-2 at the end of the second period.

Terry Broadhurst fired one from the face-off circle just fifty seconds into the final frame. On another power play Brandon Mashinter scored while storming the net. Finally, Pat Mullane netted the seventh goal and the IceHogs beat Charlotte 7-3.

The IceHogs tied the franchise record of five power play goals in a game.
