Rockford- The IceHogs hosted their 5th annual Bowl-a-thon Sunday at the Cherry Bowl. The players paired up with fans to raise money for the Sydney Ives Foundation, which raises money to help families with severely ill children pay their medical costs. Defenseman Brett Skinner looked right at home on the lanes rolling several strikes.

"You know we've got a hot lane going right now. We have a high level of play coming from the other guys in our group here, and it's kind of bringing my play up I think," says Brett Skinner.

"It's awesome to get all our team and the fans out here, and support a great cause, and like you said just enjoy it and have some fun," says Hogs defenseman Brian Connelly.

"It is so awesome. It's an experience of a lifetime and I'd do it again, and again, and again," says IceHogs fan Teresa Jenkins.

Fans also got autographs and took photos with the players.
