ROCKFORD-The odds are stacked against the IceHogs making the playoffs. They have to win their final two games against Chicago Friday and against Charlotte on Saturday. That's the easy part. The hard part is they also need Oklahoma City to lose all three of its remaining games.

Following a voluntary practice Tuesday the Hogs spoke about hanging on to that shred of hope.

"Obviously you want to hope for the best, but at the same time we're just trying to keeps our hopes up," says forward Alex Broadhurst. "We have two more games left in the season. We're going to try to finish out strong and try to get two wins and that's what we're focused on."

"This is your job. Everyone wants to play in the playoffs," says defenseman Brian Connelly. I don't think anyone puts in seven, eight months of  hard work to go home in mid-April. We're going to battle to the end."
