St. Louis, MO- The Wichita State Shockers fell to the number eight Kentucky Wildcats 78-76 Sunday. The Shockers' last loss was in the Final Four of last year's NCAA Tournament. Fred Van Vleet had an opportunity to win the game with a three-pointer at the buzzer but missed the shot. Van Vleet had six assists today. Cleanthony Early led the Shockers with thirty-one points and seven rebounds. Kentucky's twins Andrew and Aaron Harrison had thirty-nine combined points. The Shockers end the perfect season 35-1 and miss out on advancing to the Sweet Sixteen. However, the Shockers still made plenty of history this year with the only 35-0 record in basketball history.
