David Brown Headed Back To Western Michigan

ROCKFORD-Former Hononegah standout David Brown has been granted an extra year of basketball eligibility at Western Michigan. Brown petitioned the NCAA based on the many games he missed his freshman and sophomore seasons due to knee and ankle injuries. The NCAA agreed Thursday that he should have another season.

Brown made the following post on his instagram account.

I received news that I am going to be a Bronco for one more year!!! I get a chance to do something great this upcoming year. I am truly blessed to be giving this opportunity, now it's time for me to show the best of me.I am thankful for all the blessings I have been giving, now its time to chance after another RING!!!!! Brown averaged 19.1 points per game last season for the Broncos. He was the second leading scorer in the MAC, and he was the MAC Tournament MVP. He'll be one of five returning starters for the Broncos next season.
