Rockford- Teams traveled from all over the Midwest to compete in the Women's Great Lakes Regional Ultimate Frisbee Tournament. Teams from the University of Michigan, Illinois, Notre Dame and eight other schools battled at Sportscore One. The tournament is held each year and it's an opportunity for ultimate Frisbee teams to show off their skills. They also get to demonstrate a sport that is becoming more and more popular.

"We had our regionals here last year so I've been here a couple times before. I think it's a great way to advertise the sport to a bunch of people who really don't know that much about it. I think Nationals does a great job of that as well and there is actually a new league of Professional Ultimate so I think the sport is growing," says Jessica Axelrod, ultimate Frisbee competitor from the University of Michigan.
