ROCKFORD - The Gymnastics Academy of Rockford has come through with its annual haul of championships at the USTA TumbliIng and Trampoline Nationals.

In the recent competition in Madison the kids earned 33 individual national championships. Plus GAR took first place in the team advanced overall competition and first place in the team trampoline overall.

"I have never won Elite Tumbling before so this is really special for me," says Ellie Kirane won of the national champions. "It took a lot of hard work to get there, so it's nice to see it pay off."

"This probably has been my favorite nationals so far I've ever had," says tumbler Asa Taylor another national champion. "Just the way everybody went about it and how it went down."

"They did amazing!," says head coach Ute Heger. "This was the biggest nationals I went to working here for 21 years at the gymnastics academy. We had 142 teams competing at Nationals and over 2,000 athletes. Everything came together at Nationals."

Heger credits supportive parents for the success of these athletes and for the success of the Gymnastics Academy of Rockford.
