Winnebago Boys CC Second In State

PEORIA-The Winnebago boys cross country team finished second in the Class 1A State Cross Country meet Saturday in Peoria. The Indians finished with 167 points, only six points behind champion elmwood. Nathan Ambrose led Bago with a 26th place finish individually. Nathan Smith was 43rd and Jeff Swanson 44th.

Byron's TJ Pitckock finished 35th individually in 1A.

Belvidere North's Eryk Yunk was 15th individuall in Class 2A.  Dixon finished eighth as a team.

In Girls 1A action Byron finished 16th and Havard 19th. In 2A girls action Marengo finished 4th and DeKalb's Kelsey Schrader was the fourth individuial.
