Chicago, Illinois-Renovations at Wrigley Field are another step closer to happening. Wednesday the Chicago City Council  gave final approval to the improvements.

There will be $500 million dollars worth of work done over the next few years. The improvements include the addition of a 5,700 square-foot electronic Jumbotron in left field plus another large advertising sign in right field.

The Cubs have been pushing for the improvements since the Ricketts family bought the team in 2009.
