ROCKFORD - Thanks to a grant from the U.S. Dept. of Education, District 205 received $325,000.
It's an Arts in Education Development and Dissemination Grant. "We are excited about this investment in our students" says Dr. Travis Woulfe, Executive Director of Improvement and Innovation for Rockford Public Schools. "This investment will provide nearly immediate service to teachers and students, while helping RPS205 strengthen our community for the future.
The grant is meant to help school districts further create and develop materials for the replication or adaptation of current approaches for integrating a range of arts disciplines-such as music, dance, theatre, and visual arts.
