ROCKFORD - A federal jury rules in favor of two Rockford police officers.

The jury decided officers Erik Freese and Paul Sarantopoulos did not use excessive force against Joe Sebright Jr.

Sebright had claimed he was unlawfully beaten and body slammed by officers and was eventually struck by a taser. The jury rejected Sebright's claims of excessive force, finding the officers' actions reasonable and justified.

Sebright was asking the jury for an amount in excess of $3 million.
