POPLAR GROVE - An elementary principal is taking a page from her students.

North Boone Upper Elementary School prinicpal Lindsay Abbeduto will read from the first bell to the last bell of school tomorrow, their assistant principal did so today.

The princiapl challenge is part of the Pizza Hut's National Young Readers Week. The winning principal will receive 101 copies of the newest edition of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series for their library.

Abbeduto wants to let her students know she's more than just in charge at the school.

"They get to see me in a different light. So they get to see that I am also an avid reader. That I'm not just the principal, but that I have my own interest in books too. And I share with them the types of books I like to read."

Over 14 million students participate in the challenge each year.
