The Bears take on the Carolina Panthers this week and this should be a very good thing for anyone with a Bear on their fantasy team...The Bills, Bengals, Ravens and Texans have byes this week.
Starting off with the Jay Cutler, after the hit he took last week, he might be a little weary, but he says he fully expects to play and have no problems doing so. However, I'm not crazy about starting Jay this week anyways. Carolina has given up the 19th most points to opposing QBs this season. Unless Cutler is your second QB behind maybe Andy Dalton or Matt Schaub, you should probably have a better option this week.
To go along with this though, I am crazy about Matt Forte this week. I expect him to get over 100 yds rushing and be a force in the passing game as well. Start with extreme confidence.
As usual, Brandon Marshall is the only Bear in the receiving game that warrants a start. Marshall should have 10 or more targets as he and Cutler are on fire as a duo this season. BMarsh has scored in 3 straight games and I expect him to make it 4 this Sunday.
The Bears defense should always warrant a start and that's no different this week.
As for the Panthers, they have been on hard times this season with a 1-5 start to the season.
The Panthers have a lot of names that have been fantasy relevant in years past: DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert, Steve Smith and Greg Olsen...but I don't like any of those guys this week against this Bears defense.
Cam Newton is probably the only Panther you've been starting on a weekly basis as it is, but the Bears have given up the least amount of fantasy points to opposing QBs this season and I don't see this as a good time to start Newton. He's been sloppy with the ball and this Bears defense have been absolute ball hawks! Hopefully you have a better option at QB this week. That's it for this week...good luck out there!
