Stillman Valley Pep Rally

Stillman Valley Pep Rally

Cardinal Nation turned out Tuesday night to salute their State bound football team.
STILLMAN VALLEY-It's tradition when Stillman Valley goes to State in football. A few nights before the community turns out at the high school gymnasium for a pep rally. That happened again Tuesday night.

The cheerleaders led the crowd in cheers. Then they put some of the senior football players and their parents through some relay games.

After that the entire team took the floor while head coach Mike Lalor and the team captains spoke a few words. This team will try to win one for the thumb Friday...a fifth State Championship.

"We'll crank it back up one more game," said Lalor to the crowd. "And we'll find a way to hopefully get this thing done. And do it with a lot of class and again bring tons of pride and respect to Stillman Valley."

The Cardinals will play St. Joseph-Ogden in the 3A title game Saturday at 4pm at Huskie Stadium at NIU. The game can also be seen on Rockford's MyNetwork TV (Digital Channel 17.2 over the air, Comcastd and Charter Cable Channel 16, and DirectTV channel 18.
