Phoenix Coyotes winger Raffi Torres has been suspended indefinitely for his hit that left Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa being carried off the ice on a stretcher. On Friday, the league will meet with Torres face-to-face, where he can be suspended for more than five games.

Torres has a history with questionable hits, including a hit when he played on the Vancouver Canucks on current Blackhawk Brent Seabrook. Torres appeared to leave the ice at 11:51 in the first period to hit Hossa, who did not have possession of the puck. He also appeared to target Hossa's head with his shoulder during the hit. Both of those actions are illegal hits in the NHL.

Torres will not play in Game 4 of the first round series.
