The Bears never seemed to have an answer for the Rams team quickness, losing 42-21 in St. Louis.
Rookie wide receiver Tavon Austin scored on a 65-yard touchdown run on the Rams' first drive of the game, and the Bears trailed the rest of the way. They fought back to lower the deficit to 27-21 on a Michael Bush touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the Rams bled the clock the rest of the way, running with easy over the Bears injury-plagued defense.
The Rams finished with 258 rushing yards on 29 carries (8.9 ypc). Undrafted rookie running back Benny Cunningham ran for 109 yards and a touchdown in the second half.
The Bears didn't lose much ground in the NFC North, with the Detroit Lions losing and the Packers fighting to a tie in Green Bay. But it would appear they missed an opportunity for a big road win against the last place Rams in St. Louis. The Bears travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings on December 1st.
