Bears Keys

Scott Leber outlines some keys to watch for in the Bears preseason game this Saturday night against the Redskins.
Chicago, Illinois-The Bears are set for their second preseason game Saturday night against the Redskins. Here are some things I'll be watching for in this one.

First the play of the Bears' offensive tackles. Can J'Marcus Webb look half-way decent or will be be torched again? And is Gabe Carimi's knee giving him problems again?

Second, how will the linebackers perform without Brian Urlacher. Nick Roach and Geno Hayes in particular have to step up.

Third, more improvement from the rookies. Shea McClellin and Alshon Jeffery were solid last week. Can they keep it up?

Fourth, I'll be focused on the return of Matt Forte. We haven't seen him in game action since early December when he went down with a knee injury. I want to see if Forte can make quick cuts and run with confidence, or will be be timid.

It's only preseason action, but there's a lot riding on the play of some individuals in this one.
