Bears OTA Workout Gets Heated

Tempers flared Tuesday in Lake Forest.
LAKE FOREST-The new Bears are fitting in with their teammates during OTA workouts this week. Although at one point Tuesday during practice new defensive end Lamarr Houston got into a scuffle with Jordan Mills and Martellus Bennett.

Bennett flew into a tirade shouting and slamming his helmet to the ground. He never did cool off completely. Houston shrugged off the incident.

Jordan Lynch got in a couple carries at running back. And Alshon Jeffery made a sensational grab of a Jay Cutler pass. Jeffery says he and Brandon Marshall keep pushing each other to be their best.

It's just competitiveness, like me and him talked earlier," says Jeffery. "Why settle for second when you can be number one? Who wants to be remembered as number two?"

OTA workouts are also scheduled for next week. A veteran minicamp will follow. Then the Bears will take a break until training camp opens at the end of July.
