Chicago, Ill.- The Blackhawks beat the Los Angeles Kings Sunday in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final Series. Brandon Saad scored the first goal of the game with a deflection off Nick Leddy’s shot in the first period. Jonathan Toews took the puck up the ice in the second period but the goal was waived off for goalie interference. Shortly after in the second period, Tanner Pearson passed across the ice to Tyler Toffoli who chipped it in past Crawford glove side. Tied at one, Brandon Saad passed across to Duncan Keith. Keith fired a shot high past Jonathon Quick to give the Blackhawks the lead 2-1. Under four minutes to go in the third period, on a 3-on-1 Johnny ODuya fed Toews and he netted his fifth playoff goal of the season. Blackhawks won 3-1. Game 2 is Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the United Center.
