CHICAGO - Potential Presidential and candidate and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, is set to receive The Order of Lincoln.
Gov. Pat Quinn (D) announced today that Clinton will receive the honor at a ceremony May 3. The Order of Lincoln is the highest honor the state can give. It recognizes professional achievement and public service."
"[She] has helped shape and improve the world more than almost any person in our nation's history" says Quinn. "From working on women's and children's issues, to her time as First Lady, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State, she personifies the best that Illinois and the United States of America can offer."
Clinton was born and raised in Park Ridge.
The ceremony takes place at the Field Museum in Chicago as part of the 50th Annual Convocation of the Lincoln Academy of Illinois.
