Dakota Dominates Again On The Mats

Dakota had five individual champions Saturday at the Byron 1A Sectional.
BYRON-Dakota showed its strength on the wrestlings mats again Saturday. The Indians had five individual champions in 1A Sectional action at Byron. Those five champions were: 113-Alex Henze, 126-Andrew Enger, 132-Josh Alber, 138-J.J. Wolfe, and 152-Carver James.

Dakota also had four second place finishers: 106-Dillon Swift, 120-Printice Walls, 138-Greg Krulas, and 160-Jared Packer. 
Dakota 220 pounder Daniel Zimmerman took third place.

Byron had a pair of champions on it's home mats. Brady Wilsie captured the 106 pound class, and Nelson Baker raised his record to 38-0 by winning at 120 pounds.

At the 2A Pontica Sectional Boylan's Alex Butler was the long local champion at 132 pounds. Belvidere's Justin Mcgady took second at 138 pounds.

At the 3A Barrington Sectional, Harlem's Sage Hecox came out on top at 220 pounds after winning his final match 4-2 in overtime over Kevin Barbian of Libertyville. Hononegah's Fernie Silva took second at 145 pounds, and Zach Benkovich of Hononegah was second at 160 pounds.
