Hot Shots Wednesday

From a huge school of fish that looks like a big dark cloud in the water, to a lightning strike caught a few feet away from the photographer, we've got your Wednesday Hot Shots.
Check out this huge school of wild anchovies. It was so big, locals in Southern California say they've never seen anything like it. The cloud of fish is actually made up of millions of anchovies stretching several miles. Officials say the water is unusually warm this summer and that may be attracting them.

Kids getting slimy from head to toe in the annual "mud day" festivities in Michigan. Every year a section of a local park is turned into a 150-foot mud pit. The kids then compete in races and games.  Two of the dirtiest kids get crowned king and queen of mud.

Finally, it's not nice to fool with mother nature. A Colorado man tries to video tape a summer thunderstorm. Lightning came a few feet away from a Colorado man, knocking him to the ground and sending the camera to black. He was temporarily paralyzed from the strike and a little sore.
