Illini Focused On Wins

The Illini football team knows it can't afford another season like the last two.
CHICAGO-Big Ten football was all the talk in Chicago Monday. The conference's annual media day was held. The Fighting Illini want to avoid a repeat of the nightmare that was the last two seasons. They were 0-8 in the Big Ten in 2012 and 1-7 in 2013.

"Obviously the last two years haven't been the way we planned, but we know it's a process," says tight end Jon Davis. "We'll just keep climbing to get to that point where we need to be."

"We've had two losing seasons now. I think it's time that we have a winning season. We go to a nice bowl game and finish this thing right," says senior offensive tackle Simon Cvijanovic.

"We all know the game comes down to wins and loses," says head coach Tim Beckman. "So we're making our strides to get better, and as I said we're going to play one game at a time. We're going to enjoy this year. We're going to play with great passion and be positive."
