Chicago, Ill.- NIU fans will not have to go far to watch former quarterback and Heisman finalist Jordan Lynch prove himself in the NFL. Lynch’s name was not called during the draft but he agreed to sign a rookie free agent deal with the Chicago Bears Saturday night. Lynch is not the only NIU player heading to the NFL. Defensive tackle Ken Bishop was drafted in the seventh round Saturday by the Dallas Cowboys. Defensive End Joe Windsor also agreed to a free agent deal with Dallas. Teammate Jimmie Ward was the first round selection of the 49ers on Thursday. This is the first year since 2007 that NIU had multiple players chosen in the draft.
