Local Fourth Grader Keeping Stateliners Warm This Winter

Natylee Sinkiawic is making blankets to give to the Rockford Rescue Mission.
Machesney Park- For nine year old Natylee Sinkiawic, knitting and selling bracelets is more than a new hobby. Instead of keeping the money for herself, she came up with an idea.

Natylee Sinkiawic says “I decided that instead of just making them and selling them and giving the money to me, I figured maybe I could do it for the homeless.”

So Natylee uses the money she makes selling bracelets to buy material to make blankets to go to the Rockford Rescue Mission.

Her mother Lori says she was not surprised when her daughter told her that she wanted to help out Stateliners in need.

Lori Sinkiawic says “she is always trying to help somebody out. She loves to go to the rescue mission to help feed the homeless with our church, and she’s always there to a helping hand no matter what.”

Business is booming for Natylee. She’s already made over seven hundred dollars to go towards getting funds to make blankets. And Lori and Natylee are enjoying quality mother-daughter time.

Natylee says “I can’t really explain it. It’s super duper fun.”
