ROCKFORD - Stateline drivers are paying a premium to fill up their tanks.
Despite gas prices dropping another two cents in the past week, Rockford drivers are spending on average $3.65/g, ten cents higher than the national average.
Analysts say for those looking to take a spring vacation, do it sooner rather than later.
"[Travelers[ may be greeted with rising prices to the tune of 10-20 cents per gallon over the next two weeks" says GasBuddy.com's Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. "[Still], prices shouldn't be holding many back from hitting the road.
Gas prices are five cents higher than this time last year.
