Rockford Man Leads Fight Against Governor Quinn's Limits on Medicaid Patients

ROCKFORD - Robert Ciarpaglini filed a lawsuit against Governor Quinn for his Smart Act Bill of 2012.
ROCKFORD - The fight continues for one Rockford man who says Governor Pat Quinn's limit on Medicaid patients is unfair.

Robert Ciarpaglini began his lawsuit back in June of last year after the Governor signed his Smart Act Bill in 2012, limiting those on Medicaid to only 4 prescriptions a month. Last week, Quinn signed a new law eliminating the limit to Medicaid recipients with mental health issues, putting Ciarpaglini closer to his final goal.

"We're just one step away from actually winning the war, and that is to get these people with physical ailments back on their medications," says Ciarpaglini.

Last week's new law also eliminated the restrictions for those with podiatry and dental service.
