Sox Win, Cubs Lose On Opening Day

The Sox beat the Twins while the Cubs lost to the Pirates.
CHICAGO-Opening day ended well for one Chicago baseball team, and not so well for the other. The White Sox beat the Twins 5-3. Alejandro De Aza hit a pair of homers, and he drove in three runs. Jose Abreu had a pair of hits in his Sox debut. Avisail Garcia also had a pair of hits.

Chris Sale got the win. He wint 7.1 innings. He gave up three runs and he struck out eight batters.

The Cubs lost 1-0 in ten innings in Pittsburgh. The Pirates got a walkoff homer in the bottom of the tenth from Neil Walker off Carlos Villanueva. The Cubs had only six hits in the game. Four off them came off the bat of leadoff man Emilio Bonifacio.
