Stateline Group Finds Unique Way to Raise Money for Cancer Awareness

SOUTH BELOIT - Prairie Hill School partners with "Pink Heals" to host a rummage sale for money towards cancer research.
SOUTH BELOIT - Winnebago County group "Pink Heals" is holding an annual rummage sale to raise money to buy a pink fire truck.

It's all to raise cancer awareness and help deliver the group's message of love and hope. Group volunteers say it's a great way to support research for all types of cancer.

"Everybody knows somebody who has cancer, so this is a nice way to find a way to help everybody and not just one person," says Pink Heals voluteer Aubrey Capriola. "We aren't just focused on one type of cancer, it's about all of them."

The rummage sale is at Prairie Hill School in South Beloit Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm.
