Three Inmates Escape Rock County Work Program

Four people were found hiding out at The Rockford Motel located at 3851 11th Street Friday afternoon.

 

Three of the four people found walked away from a work release program at the Rock County, Wisconsin jail. Rockford police searched the motel room finding four handguns and property that was stolen in a DeKalb County home burglary.

 

Nicholas Batzler, age 32, Brandon Disrud, age 24, and Brandon Garecht age 23 were all arrested Friday afternoon. The men have been charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen firearm.

 

 

Rockford City Police Detectives and the Dekalb County Sheriff's office issued warrants to Batzler for Winnebago, Stephenson, Boone, McHenry and DeKalb County burglaries.
