Three People Shot in Overnight Crime Spree

Shortly after 1am, police say a 27-year-old man was shot in the neck and face near the 300 block of Kent Street. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Only a half hour later, officers responded to the 1100 block of N. Independence Avenue. There they found a person shot in the knee. No one is in custody at this time.

A home invasion sends a Rockford teenager to the hospital. It happened shortly after 3am in the 700 block of Illinois Avenue. Police say two teenagers heard a loud noise in the living room. When the 16-year-old went to investigate, he found two suspects. One of them then shot him in the hand and fled.
