ROCKFORD-Boys high school volleyball is making progress in the Stateline. A sure sign of that took place Tuesday at Guilford. Seniors Brandon Anderson and Caleb Brouer became the first NIC-10 boys volleyball players to receive college scholarships. they'll both head to Division II Lincoln College.

Boys volleyball is a new sport in the Stateline. These young men could be the first of many to use volleyball to enhance their college experience.

"It's huge I think for RPS in general, the sports program that they have here, and I hope men's volleyball gets bigger and bigger. I think for sure it definitely will," says Anderson.

Brouer says he never expected to receive a scholarship when he began playing volleyball at Guilford.

"I really didn't. It was just, really just for the fun of it, because I like playing volleyball, and it's a fun thing to do."
