Rockford- The sixth annual America's Team Championship for table tennis was held in Rockford this weekend. The tournament was previously held in Minnesota but this is the fourth consecutive year Rockford has held the tournament. Players from across the United States including California, Texas and Florida competed at the Forest City Tennis Center. Competitors ranged from seven to seventy years old. The tournament was divided into five divisions and awards totaled over $10,000. Tournament founder and director Edward Hogshead says, "We have players at the tournament who were born in twenty-three different countries. More and more people come back each year. They love it."
