UPDATE: Teen Arrested In Rockford Manslaughter Case

A 19-year-old man was found with a fatal gun shot wound in a home at 1116 DeAnna Drive in Rockford
UPDATE (6/25/14): Police have charged 19 year-old Phillip Futrell with involuntary manslaughter.  Winnebago Co. Sheriff's Dept. Deputy Chief Dominic Iasparro says a shotgun went off in the home, killing Williams.  Futrell does in fact live at the home.

UPDATE -- The Winnebago County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as Joshua Williams of Rockford. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The death is still under investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.

ROCKFORD (WTVO) -- A 19-year-old man was shot and killed on Rockford's north side this morning. 

Winnebago County Sheriff's Department says it happened just after 1:30 this morning in the 1100 block of DeAnna Drive.. When the Sheriff's Department arrived, they found the teen with a shotgun wound inside a house.

The teen did not live in that home. One person was taken into custody but no charges have been filed.
