Victims Identified In Deadly Beloit Car Crash

A driver is dead and the passenger is now critically injured after fleeing from police.
UPDATE (3/17/14): The victims of the crash have been identified.  The driver is 22 year-old Adrain Taylor.  He died from his injuries.  Taylor was driving with a suspended driver's license and had an outstanding arrest warrant for disorderly conduct.  The passenger is 22 year-old Special Turne Davidson.  He is still in the hospital with critical injuries.

BELOIT- Around 2 A.M. a Beloit police officer tried to make a traffic stop at Fourth Street just south of Portland Avenue for speeding.

The car took off on Roosevelt Avenue eventually striking another car and then hitting a utility pole.

Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The driver a Beloit man, 22, later died from his injuries.

The passenger a Beloit Woman, 22, is critically injured. The two people in the other car were not injured during the crash.

Police say excessive speed and not stopping at a stop sign were factors in the crash.
