Friends Seeking Donations for Victims of Rockford Garage Fire

Thursday, stateliners tried to lend a hand. Bags and bags of donations filling up Park Lanes bowling alley in Loves Park. 

The generosity sparked after friends posted on Facebook about the fire's devastating impact on the family, calling on the community to help.

They say it's a cause everyone can get behind.

"The reaction from the community itself, we're all good people and when it comes time to really show our true colors that's when everybody seems to pull together," said Angie Wallace, a friend of the victim.

Stateliners can continue to bring donations to Park Lanes. Friends are asking only for clothing and monetary donations for the mom and her five kids at this time. They're setting up a monetary donation site through "Fund Me". 

If you would like to donate clothing to the family here are their approximate sizes:
- Mom: Small/Medium, Pants in a 7/9.
- Son: Small/Medium Men's
- Daughter: Large Women's, Pants in a 9 in Juniors.
- Son: 8/10 Boy's
- Son: 7 Boy's
- Daughter: 5/6 Girl's
