NEW YORK - People may be the cause of global warming.
The United Nations issued a Climate Change report Friday. It says we're responsible for at least half of the global warming that's been observed since the 1950s.
The assessment report comes from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This benchmark study on global warming is published every few years.
The report predicts global temperatures continue to rise, which will cause polar ice to melt and in turn, raising sea levels.
Nearly 1,000 researchers from around the world worked on the report.
This year's findings further strengthens the suspicions scientists have previously had on climate change. Skeptics claim the IPCC exists only produce further evidence supporting the idea of man-made climate change, while ignoring opposing research.
