Heat Forcing Some Stateline Schools To Close Early

With temperatures expected to be in the mid-90s by the afternoon, a pair of Stateline school districts are sending their students home early.

With temperatures expected to be in the mid-90s by the afternoon, a pair of Stateline school districts are sending their students home early.

The early dismissal affects only schools without air conditioning.  The Amboy school district is letting out two hours early.  The Dixon school district is dismissing their students at 1:15pm.

Other schools so far closing early Tuesday because of the heat:

  • Polo School District: Dismissal @ 1:10pm

  • Rockford Public Schools: Two Hours Early

  • Boylan Public Schools: 12:15 p.m.

  • Shirland Public Schools: 1:15 p.m.

  • Forrestville Valley Schools: 12:50 p.m.

  • Cathedral of St. Peter: 1:15 p.m.
